Dr. Edward Upton is Ash's father and 
Tempest's local gynecologist.  His usually 
cold appearance is broken only by two 
things, his work, which he loves, and his 
daughter, Ash, whom he dotes over. This 
is somewhat of a problem, who had a 
generally good, but much more distant 
relationship with his father when she was 
a boy.  In general, most people in town 
consider Dr. Upton to be pretty creepy, 
but being a nationally renowned doctor 
who is frequently called to conventions 
to lecture, he still has a very lucrative 
practice.
