Dear Ash:
I was wondering if you have ever run your car at a
drag strip and if so what does it run in the 1/4 mile?
Well, I don't honestly usually do the drag strip thing. It's not the part of the ride I enjoy, or the part I'm particularly good at. Racing to me is about cornering and knowing whether to drift or grip on which corners, etc. That being said, last time I DID have my car timed on the quarter mile it clocked in at 13.6 seconds with a top speed of 107 mph.

Dear Ash:
     What are your pre-race preparations?

Is there any aspect of “riced out” cars that you like, and if there is would you do it to your car?
Well, I practice on the old road pretty much every weekend whether I have a race or not, so when I DO actually havea race, my preparation is fairly mental. I do a sort of pre-race car check to make sure everything is in the best shape is can be, and then I try to just mentally prepare to race by relaxing and going over the road conditions in my head.

As for riced out cars, I don't like them. I prefer to keep my car "low-profile". You're just asking for trouble from other racers and worse, police looking to fill their monthly ticket quotas if you make your car stand out too much. On the other hand, a little customization is certainly nice. I just think there's a line somewhere you shouldn't cross, and where that line is depends on the vehicle.

Dear Ash:
How would you react if Emily made a move on you, like she starts flirting with you?
... I don't really know. I mean, when we met, I thought she was a jerk, but I really like her now, and if I was a boy I would be totally comfortable dating her. But I don't think she likes girls, and to be perfectly honest, I'm not exactly "comfortable" with my body, and I'd be kind of afraid that if I freak out over that it might destroy my relationship with the one person keeping me sane right now.

Dear Ash:
Ok, seeing as the first page of your file is listed as "boy" and probably "heterosexual", as well as the summation of your behavior up 'till now, it's safe to say you are still straight for a male/homosexual for a female.

My question is, are you still AS attracted to females? I understand your situation was made in heaven, but with all the different chemicals now circulating through your system, and the obvious emotional affects they are having on you, I'm just sort of curious if your sex drive is still what it used to be, or if all the weirdness has more or less rendered you near asexual and disinterested.
Well, I'm not 100% clear on the details of the files. When I think about it, yes, I am as attracted to females. I'm certainly not attracted to men. I spend less time thinking about sex right now, but I think a lot of that is due to the stress. I was breifly worried about how the change might effect my orientation, but it really hasn't changed at all.

Dear Ash:
What's your ambition or dream in life, and how do you plan on getting there? Do you think being a girl would hinder or enhance those plans? And finally, what's your opinion of being a female, other then the physical aspects?
My dream? Well, I don't know if it's really realistic, but I'd like to be a professional Rally racer someday. I don't really know of any female rally racers, but it wasn't really a concern of mine until recently, so my gut feeling is that being a girl would hold me back in that regard. I'm not really sure how to get there. I'm not sure I want to go to college though. I mean, I just don't know what I would study, and so why waste the money. I haven't broken that to my dad yet though. He's a doctor, so he had like a million years of school, so I'm sure he'll take ut badly. I may go and just muck through it for him. Other than the physical aspects, the thing that most sways my oppinions of being female is how I'm treated differently. I don't like it. I don't like being treated like I'm somehow inherently weaker, or like I'm talking out of my ass when I talk about cars. It's frustrating. I also don't like how I'm looked at. I mean, I admit it, I used to look... ok, so I occasioanlly still do... but at least make it a bit less obvious, guys.

Dear Ash:
It's almost been a week since the Misfile, how's the clothes situation coming? Aren't those pants a little tight? Are you gonna do laundry, go shopping, or bit the bullet at wear something girly? How's the underwear situation going? Boxers or panties? Do bras make things better or worse?
That's a lot of clothes questions...

I've done some laundry, more than I normally would, because I only have a small percentage of my wardrobe that I truly feel comfortable wearing. There is more of it that I would wear in a pinch, and some stuff that I simply would play sick before having to put on. I suppose I should go shopping, but I just haven't had the time. Besides, I don't really get girls sizes, so I'd have to bring Emily, and you know girls and shopping... I have had to adjust to wearing Panties. Picking them out and putting them on is still disconcerting, but it's not something I notice for most of the rest of the day. The bra thing is a drag. I'm simply too big to go without, but having it on is like a constant reminder of my condition. I'm also still not past the looking at my self in the mirror and realizing that "that cute girl in the bra" is me. That in itself is pretty creepy.

Dear Ash:
How's the girl's bathroom? Is it any nicer than the boys or are you putting paper on the seats now?
Yeah, actually. It's quite a bit cleaner, and the writing on the inside of the stalls is less graphically sexual, though stil somewhat crude on occasion. Actually, I noticed the biggest differences in the locker rooms. There's way less damage in the girls locker room, and while it's certainly no rose garden, it smells a heckuva lot better than the men's locker room.
