Finally, Avery is still in the NICU. He will not be coming home before he learns to fill himself up with food before becoming too tired to keep eating and falling asleep. We have no idea when that will be, but it's getting very frustrating, especially since the doctors originally thought he'd be coming home last week. I foresee long arguments with insurance companies at a future date. It's also really cutting into my schedule big time. I love going to see him, but it's a half an hour there, then 30 minutes of feeding, then 2.5 hours of watching him sleep and another half an hour of feeding. At least if he was home, I could draw in that time in between So far I'm still keeping up, but I apologize in advance should this make me fall behind at all. I will do everything I can to keep that from happening.

Well I am home.. Whoot! It's nice to be home, its tough to have to travel to the hospital so much, it eats so much time. But I know thats where Avery needs to be at the moment. Now only if we could get him to eat better. Thats basically what is holding him in there. Hopefully to get better eating news tomorrow.. we are also going to finally try to breastfeed for the 1st time as well. Its a bit weird to be trying so many days later, but hopefully it will work! Keep your fingers crossed!
Update: I still feel like crap, but I'm getting better. Also, we apologize for being late on getting out all the pins and thank you notes the last few weeks.Smiles!
