Wow, what a night. So I just went to use my phone, and Cinglar shut it off. Huh? Why you ask? I asked the same thing. I have bill pay the money goes out every month same time. Means no worries for me. Oh wait. I guess there is a $35 late charge on there. (something like the dollar or two from all the months that the bill pay was off or something) That's not the fee for the late charge (actual fee was $1.90) thats the amount that has not been paid in months. Seeing that each time I pay it, it pays off current and not the old. Or something like that from what they tell me. So they are actually getting money from me each month, at the same time for the last 2 year. So the phone is off and the only people I can call is them. I call them. Oo here is the good part. I have never talked to them ever in the 2 years I had this phone. (The account was my fathers and he had it over 10 years now) They did call me once, when I changed my plan and it went cheaper and my bill pay was more then the amount. After several months they called to tell me to stop, cause they have to issue checks back or something since for over 6 months I always had a credit. OK, so I changed the amount. Now with the bill pay, I don't look for bills. But now that I think about it, I have not seen one in several months. So I call. They say I have to pay the full amount for my phone to turn on. OK. I actually logged on 2 days ago and noticed the problem and paid. Oo it has not cleared on their end. Even better the bill is due on the 18th of Dec. I am also ahead of the game. SO after over an hour of talking to this 18 year old, he tells me to call my bank cancel the payment (which clears when I hit the button) and pay him over the phone now. Um no. So I ask him about customer service, and if they have any. He can't really answer. So basically they can't call me to tell me there is a problem, or that they are shutting off the phone. They can't send me a bill or even a letter saying there is a problem. They can't turn the phone on for days while payment goes through. They can't do anything. The only thing he could tell me when my plan is up, cause I told him I would never go back, and will find a new company to deal with. I love the fact that when this was AT&T there was never a problem, but now a large communication company can not do the one thing they are supposed to be good at communicate with thier customers. *Bangs head on Desk* So even when calling they can not tell me that my bills will arrive, and they won't even work with me so I can not have an outage on my phone for a day. But if I over pay them I can get a phone call. So until my payment goes through, I have no phone. FYI if you are planing on a cel phone company avoid them. They have gone to the birds.
