So, I'm watching this train wreck on the Sci-Fi channel, better known as “SS Doomtrooper”. My god... Ok, I expected it to be bad, but seriously. Apparently, the “ultimate weapon for winning world war 2 for the Germans” is a giant monster that can't be controlled that's as likely to kill your own troops as the enemy. Also, the demolitions expert, who is supposed to be portrayed as “mostly deaf” for comedic purposes, is able to hear commands whispered by the captain whenever it's convenient to the script. The rest of the team is made up of convicted felons with incredibly stereotypical regional accents representing different parts of the country. Lastly, of course, there's the mad German scientist who regards his creation as his child. You can't have a world war 2 sci-fi movie without that. You'd think with all the money they spent on effects, which are occasionally pretty good, they could have shelled out a few thousand dollars for a script polish. The one effect that ISN'T good? The main monster of course. Every time it shows up I feel like I'm back in my computer animation 101 course. Well, time to go back to my train wreck and finish this thing. Hopefully I can give you my thoughts on what's sure to be a terribly contrived ending on Monday. ;) The commission list is still good and empty if you need anything drawn. Because I've been asked several times in the past few weeks "Yes, I do characters other than misfile characters". I'll draw pretty much anything within reason, actually. Many thanks to everyone who donated to Misfile in March. For those who have requested that I put the amount donated so far in here as well as the nifty flash donation bar below. So far we've received $100 out of the $1000 goal for April. Remember, it's your donations that keeps Misfile updating 5 times a week rather than 3. If that's not enough return on your investment, you can always request a commission: The MISFILE Commissions Studio :-) Don't forget to VOTE FOR MISFILE ON BUZZ COMIX MISFILE GRAPHIC NOVEL 3 IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR SALE!!! That's right, even more Misfile in print. Books 1 and 2 are still available as well.
