So I spent close to three hours trying to get a broken down car to start today (no, not mine). The blazing sun made the whole thing more tiring, as did the fact that after multiple jump starts that got the car running ONLY until it was put into drive, we had to declare failure and have the car towed to the shop for a diagnosis. For the record, trying to fix a car in a parking lot and having to push it back and forth every time someone wants to move their car really sucks.
