So, what can I say? After over fifteen years and nearly 4000 pages a little creative outlet I started for my own sanity comes to an end tomorrow. I am, of course, referring to my long running comic "Misfile". Sure, It's not REALLY the end. I literally start the sequel the next day, but it IS the ending of the story of several characters that have practically become family, that I have fretted over and explored almost every year since 2004. Do I throw a party? A funeral? A wake? Do I look at it as simply another inevitable step? I certainly count it was a success in my life and a fun one at that. It flew me to conventions all over the country. It introduced me to amazing people I never would have otherwise met. It quite literally paid all my bills for many of those years. I will certainly miss it. I can only hope that I come to love my new characters the way I have grown to love Ash, Emily, Rumisiel and the whole gang. I also want to say a heartfelt "thank you" to everyone who has read my work over the years and thereby made it possible to have such a thing to lament to begin with. Anyway, I have more to draw, more stories to write and other ideas to flesh out. Stick around if you can. I hope to make the next few years as good as the last. Will they be different? OF course they will, but change can be good. Thank you, everyone.
