Anime-Expo... Where to begin...  Well, lets start with the most (possibly only) truly unpleasant experience of the weekend: REGISTRATION.  This year's registration line was easily the worst registration line I've ever been in at any con ever.  Not only did it take me THREE AND A HALF HOURS to get through it, but the time there was made even worse in that the lines were set up in such a way that you never moved until it was time to register, i.e., it felt like you were making no progress towards the front at all.  I suppose I should be thankful.  Some of my friends had to wait FIVE and half hours.  I feel especially sorry for anyone who was only there for a day pass. On the the good stuff.  The webcomic panel went quite well.  I'd say 3 to 4 times as many people as we expected showed up.  I honestly wondered how we were going to fill an hour, but the panel went by so fast it felt like 15 minutes and we ended up spending about another hour after the panel talking to people out in the hallway.   Per usual, I had trouble finding anything I don't have already in the dealers hall.  This is in no way a reflection on the quality of the dealers hall.  It was actually pretty great (though the lack of shops selling CD's was kind of annoying).  Really I've had trouble finding things I didn't already own after spending several days and several thousand dollars in Japan a while back. Now for some pictures: The Webcomic panel itself Third (in the blue costume) and me (in the black t-shirt) after the webcomic panel. Hopefully there'll be more pictures later.
