I got fairly depressed Tuesday evening for some reason. I feel rather like I'm being forced to accept that I'm never get ahead and really do the things I want to do. Being still stuck here is part of it, but it got me to thinking what's going to happen even after we move. Third will have a job, and I will not. I will look for a job, which from experience, is something that will be depressing and painful and will take six months to a year. At that time, if my past experience and current events prove to be the norm, I will settle for a job in a lower position than I want, doing something I don't enjoy for less money than I should be paid, prove invaluable, be given more and more work for not very much money and eventually become totally disgusted with what I do but continue it anyway because finding a new job is so difficult for me. While I pay off my debt with the checks that are sub par for my job, I will not have the cash to do the things I want to do and I will skimp on things I really should not so as to allow myself to do a few things I enjoy. Rinse, repeat, continue indefinitely. It's probably just the depression talking, but that's really how my life feels at the moment. Sorry to be such a downer.
