Over this last weekend I had some time to not only catch up on old anime shows, but start a new one (or 2). The 2nd OAV of Sousei No Aquarion came out this last week. I tried to wait for our roommate before watching the last hour of this series, but I could not. I watched it and I loved it. The 2 parts had me a bit confused (which is a good thing for me). But the last 30 minutes summed it all up exactly the way I wanted it to. The best part was the last 2 mins… where they explain how the TV series falls into the timeline. All and all, it made me want to watch the TV series yet again. Also once my roomie is back and has an hour, I will be watching part 2 again! If you want to know, Season 1 comes out here in the US in early 2008. When the box set comes out, it is SO MINE! I also finished Umisho. It ended ok. It was a nice 12 episode anime about a boy who hates to swim but is part of the swim team. All and all fun. With this all under my belt I decided to start another anime. Looking through what I had to pick from, I choose Dragonaut the resonance. At 1st I was underwhelmed by it. It started out straight forward, I could call mostly what was going to happen, and then per the style of anime there is a curve ball. An afternoon later and I have watched 1-10, and awaiting the next one as it comes out. It's a good anime overall. A fun watch.
