Half way through the month and still over $1000 to go! Now some more detail on my assessment of Warhammer Fantasy roleplay. First of all, the $100 price tag is pretty high, especially considering that the core set limits you to an absolute maximum of 3 players and one game master. The components are well constructed, but there just so damn much stuff to keep track of that only fantasy flight can replace that you're bound to lose a lot of it. In addition, it uses proprietary dice, which we did not have enough of some types of to even make all the roles in the sample adventure. I found the system of using pips between character markers instead of a battlemat more confusing than helpful and not having a rulebook that contained all the info and having to constantly shuffle through cards to find rules was extremely irritating. Anyway, to everyone who suggested Pathfinder as an alternative, I've tried it. I like it, but until they reprint it it's nearly impossible to get a copy of, and yes, I have the PDF, but I like actually having the books.
