Just something I have to get off my chest. I receive a LOT of email. A fair portion of it is people demanding I tell the story a certain way or take it in a certain direction. Some people threaten to stop reading, or tell me that everyone will stop reading (which is ironic, since I've been told that at least once a month for several years). Some people just get angry. The simple fact is though, that if you write me telling me that I need to tell the story your way, I guarantee you I've already received a letter telling me just the opposite. My only real response is this: I'm not telling your story, I'm telling mine. While I hope you like the comic and that you read it, I'm not making you. While I ask for donations, I don't deny you the comic if you don't donate. As such, I'm effectively doing this for free for the vast majority of you. No matter what I write, someone isn't going to like it, so I'll write it how I think it should be. This has been a particularly bad few weeks of people barking at me from one side of the fence or the other, so I just wanted to address that. For every one who's been bitching that they'll be angry if Ash gives in and they get together, you got your pound of flesh because that's how I was writing it anyway. To everyone who has subsequently written me angry about just the opposite, you'll get yours eventually too, but in my own time. Sorry if I've lost some of you along the way, but I have to put this story on paper the way I want it to read. Commissions are OPEN!
